G99 TESTING / ALoMCP

We have been performing testing in the UK since 2009 forming a limited company in 2012, during this time many changes have occurred and we have been at the forefront.

We offer G99 relay testing, G99 advice, G100 export limitation / reverse power testing as well as power quality studies.

Due to new changes with the ENA's Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme ( ALoMCP). It is a requirement of the Distribution Code (and its subordinate document EREC G59) that all owners of generation installed prior to February 2018 comply with new setting requirements for the interface protection in accordance with EREC G59. Owners of generation have a requirement to comply with the modified interface protection requirements in the revised EREC G59 and have until 31 August 2022 to do so. After that date owners who have not made the change may be the subject of an enforcement programme.

What You Do

Nationwide G99 testing working closely with NATIONAL GRID, ENWL, NPG, SSE, SPEN and IDNO’s.

Use of DVS3 / OMICRON injection test kits for voltage, frequency & LOM testing as well as secondary current injection to prove meters, export limitation schemes and reverse power functionality.

Power Quality Analysis and Power Quality reporting highlighting site specific problems and suggesting partner solutions.

Poor Power Quality does not just adversely affect the bills but shortens the life of site equipment.

EDWARD HANNAM BACKGROUND

With a telecoms and engineering background I became interested in electrical protection schemes and for several years worked closely with the only two independent G59 testers that were not attributed to large scale switchgear companies (John Gordon and Eddie Buckley). This gave them and eventually myself a competitive edge over the larger companies on price gaining knowledge of varying equipment, relays and switchgear. After trading for as a soletrader in February 2012 Edward Hannam Limited was born.

Edward Hannam Limited works closely with Solatest a specialist division of Highnett Ltd who can provide G99 / G100 control panels, LV electrical packages, LV installations and maintenance. As well as SDC Industries who provide LV / HV maintenance, HV works, Electrical Consultancy, Thermal Imaging, Partial Discharge testing and power system testing.

Edward Hannam Limited works very closely with other G99 testers including Alan Buckley, Eddie Buckley, Ross Pannell and Ian Gordon who are all based in varying areas of the country so depending on the type of work / availability can potentially provide cost savings.
